Ranchi : Jharkhand’s reputation as a powerhouse of women’s hockey received another major boost as three talented players from the CM School of Excellence–Bariatu Hockey Centre in Ranchi have been selected for the Indian Junior Women’s Hockey Team.
Binima Dhan, Parvati Toppo, and Roshni Aind have earned places in the national squad for its upcoming tour of England and Scotland, scheduled from July 5 to July 14.
During the overseas tour, the Indian junior women’s team will play seven international matches against European opponents. The exposure is expected to provide the young players with valuable international experience, helping them improve their skills, confidence, and competitive edge.
The Bariatu Hockey Centre has established itself as one of Jharkhand’s leading training academies for women’s hockey, consistently producing players who have gone on to represent India at various levels. The selection of three players from the same centre once again reflects the academy’s high-quality coaching and commitment to nurturing young talent.
Congratulating the players on their achievement, Hockey Jharkhand General Secretary Vijay Shankar Singh described the selection as a proud moment for the state.
“Bariatu Hockey Centre has consistently produced players for the national team, reflecting the strength of Jharkhand’s grassroots hockey development. We are confident that Binima, Parvati, and Roshni will perform well and bring laurels to both the country and the state,” he said.
Bariatu Hockey Centre coach Karuna Purti praised the players for earning their place through hard work, discipline, and dedication.
“This overseas tour will be a significant milestone in their careers. I am confident they will make the best use of this opportunity and contribute meaningfully to the success of the Indian team,” the coach said.
The continued selection of players from the Bariatu Hockey Centre highlights Jharkhand’s growing contribution to Indian women’s hockey and is expected to inspire many aspiring young players across the state to pursue the sport at the highest level.
