‘Kattalan’ Makers Urge Fans to Stay Till End for 3 Post-Credit Scenes

India – Chennai : The makers of director Paul George’s upcoming pan-Indian Malayalam action thriller ‘Kattalan’, starring Antony Varghese Pepe in the lead, have urged audiences to remain seated till the very end of the film as it features three post-credit scenes.

Production house Cube Entertainments made the announcement through its official social media handles, revealing that the film contains multiple surprise scenes after the main story concludes.

Sharing a special note to moviegoers, the makers wrote, “Please do not leave the theatre when the movie ends. Kattalan features 3 post credit scenes.”

The statement further clarified that two of the scenes would appear during the title cards, while the final post-credit sequence would play only after the rolling credits are completely over.

“Stay till the very end. The hunt is not over yet,” the makers added, hinting at possible twists or future developments connected to the film.

The much-awaited action thriller, which is slated to release on May 28, has already received an ‘A’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification.

The makers had recently revealed the names of several key characters from the film. Interestingly, Antony Varghese Pepe will be playing a character named Antony Varghese — his real-life name. The actor became popularly known as “Pepe” after portraying Vincent Pepe in the blockbuster Malayalam film ‘Angamaly Diaries’.

The film also stars Telugu actor Sunil as Maari, while Tamil actress Dushara Vijayan essays the role of Lucy. Actor Kabir Duhan Singh will be seen as Eddy, and Parth Tiwarii plays Roby. Raj Tirandasu, who gained popularity for his performance in the ‘Pushpa’ franchise, portrays a character named Maari 95.

‘Kattalan’ has already generated significant buzz among cinema lovers and action-thriller enthusiasts. The film is produced by Shareef Muhammed under the banner of Cubes Entertainments, the production house behind the blockbuster ‘Marco’.

Earlier, the makers surprised fans by announcing that acclaimed music composer Ravi Basrur had joined the project. The development came after the production house had initially revealed Ajaneesh Loknath, known for his work in ‘Kantara’, as the film’s composer.

The shooting of the film was wrapped up in February this year. The production team had earlier announced May as the release month, but the official release date was later confirmed as May 28.

The makers had also earned appreciation online last year after paying tribute to the stunt performers involved in the film. They had shared behind-the-scenes footage of a dangerous stunt sequence involving a four-wheeler flipping over during filming and saluted the courage of stunt artists working on such high-risk action scenes.

Apart from Antony Varghese and Rajisha Vijayan in the lead, the film also features Baby Jean, veteran Malayalam actors Jagadeesh and Siddique, along with a supporting cast from multiple film industries.

The story of ‘Kattalan’ has been jointly written by Paul George, Joby Varghese and Jero Jacob, who are making their writing debut with the project. According to sources, the film promises a gritty and intense narrative packed with power struggles, betrayal and high-stakes missions.

The film’s technical crew includes cinematographer Renadive, editor Shameer Muhammed, costume designer Dhanya Balakrishnan and choreographer Sharief.
