Mumbai : Singer and pop icon Nick Jonas recently melted hearts on social media after sharing adorable glimpses of his daughter Malti Marie from the technical rehearsals of his show.
The singer gave fans a peek into his family moments backstage as little Malti appeared to thoroughly enjoy exploring the musical setup during rehearsals.
In the pictures shared by Nick on his social media handle, Malti Marie was seen curiously wandering around the rehearsal area and even trying her hands at the drums while her father stood nearby watching her fondly.
One of the photos captured the little girl sitting beside the drum set, while another showed her spending time backstage with Nick during preparations for the performance. In yet another adorable moment, Malti was seen holding a microphone and wearing headphones as though she was immersed in the music around her.
Sharing the heartwarming pictures, Nick captioned the post: “What happens in Vegas.”
For the unversed, Nick Jonas and his wife, global star Priyanka Chopra, welcomed their daughter Malti Marie via surrogacy in January 2022. Since then, the couple has often shared precious glimpses of their family life with fans on social media.
Earlier, Nick had spoken emotionally about the difficult circumstances surrounding Malti’s birth. During an appearance on the “On Purpose” podcast, the singer revealed that their daughter was born prematurely and had to be resuscitated moments after birth.
“She came to the world under, sort of, very intense circumstances. We were expecting her to arrive in April of the year she was born, and we get a call that it’s going to be sooner,” Nick had shared.
Recalling the emotional experience, he added, “We basically went into action and she was born via surrogate. We got to the hospital, and she came out. She was 1 pound, 11 ounces and purple basically.”
According to reports, Malti spent nearly 100 days in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Nick described the period as one of the most emotionally challenging phases of their lives.
“These angels at the NICU kind of resuscitated her in that moment and got her taken care of really quickly and intubated her and everything else,” he said.
Because the birth took place during the Covid-19 pandemic, Nick and Priyanka reportedly took turns staying at the hospital for months while caring for their newborn daughter.
“My wife and I would basically do 12-hour shifts at the hospital for three and a half months. It’s a tough reality check,” Nick recalled.
He also praised the NICU nurses for their dedication and care, calling them “truly angels.”
Nick and Priyanka, who tied the knot in 2018, continue to share glimpses of their parenting journey with their fans, often delighting followers with candid family moments featuring little Malti.
